An industry-leading move to accelerate AI-driven transformation worldwide.
We are delighted to announce the appointment of Matt Armstrong-Barnes as Director of its Global AI Practice. This strategic hire strengthens our growing global capabilities in artificial intelligence, digital transformation, and data-led delivery.
Matt joins from Hewlett Packard Enterprise, where he served as Chief Technology Officer for AI & Data across the UK, Ireland, Middle East, and Africa. With over 25 years of experience in technology leadership and enterprise-scale AI delivery, he brings a unique combination of vision, pragmatism, and execution strength to Servita’s expanding international portfolio.
“Matt’s appointment further signals a serious intent,” said Ryan Tabberner, CEO of Servita. “We’re not a software vendor pushing a product, nor a consultancy selling abstract strategies. We’re a transformation partner—pragmatic, credible, and delivery-led. Our job is to make AI work in the real world: fast, focused, and with lasting impact. Matt brings the clarity and leadership to help scale that globally.”
Matt will lead our AI advisory, delivery, and managed services, helping clients apply AI purposefully within transformation programmes. His focus will be on enabling organisations to move with speed and intent, embed internal capability, and minimise risk—all while ensuring AI delivers genuine business and human value.
“AI can drive extraordinary outcomes, but only when it’s applied ethically and with clear intent,” said Armstrong-Barnes. “Servita’s ethos—delivery first, value always—perfectly matches my own approach. I’m excited to be part of this next chapter.”
Matt’s appointment comes as we scale our work in AI across sectors and geographies, with successful programmes delivered in the UK, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kenya, Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, and New Zealand. The company’s clients span government, healthcare, financial services, defence, and enterprise sectors—often operating in complex, secure, and high-value environments.
Matt is a Chartered Engineer with an MSc in Artificial Intelligence and a BSc in Computing Science. He is a Fellow of both the Institute of Engineering & Technology and the British Computer Society, a published author, and a technical reviewer for the Cambridge-hosted International Conference on AI, specialising in Deep Learning and Large Language Models.
